Summary: New York Edge is seeking passionate and enthusiastic people to fill the seasonal/temporary part-time Summer Day Group Leader position. In this role, you will be critical to the successful operation of New York Edge's summer camp program. You will be responsible for providing a safe and positive environment for school-age children to provide opportunities for learning, interaction, and academic/personal growth. Summer Day Group Leaders also participate in activities and trips while providing and maintaining a safe working environment. They help with homework and prepare students to demonstrate newly acquired skills in Sports and Arts. Job Description New Town Day Camp (NTDC) at the 14th Street Y, a vibrant Jewish community center in the East Village, provides a fun and safe environment where children can celebrate summer, make new friends, and enjoy enriching activities. Our campers explore and play in the 14Y’s excellent facilities, including a heated indoor pool, gymnasium, and well-equipped, air-conditioned classrooms. A highlight of each day is time spent on our beautifully designed rooftop playground, featuring sprinklers and shaded areas for outdoor fun. To foster social connections, campers are grouped by age.
