Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Radiology Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 03/30/2026, • Duration: 14 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 5x8hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Mar 30, 2026, • Length: 14 weeks, • Hospital-based radiology department setting, • Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, • 8-hour shifts, • Procedures include fluoroscopic studies (upper GI series, small bowel follow-through, barium enemas), joint injections under fluoroscopic or ultrasound guidance, paracentesis, thoracentesis, abscess drain placement, bone marrow biopsies, CT- and ultrasound-guided biopsies, and ultrasound-guided and stereotactic breast biopsies with marker clip placement, • No on-call requiredRequirements, • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field required; certification as a Radiologist Assistant (RA) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a radiology focus preferred, • Graduate of an approved course of study acceptable to the New York State Education Department, • Current ARRT certification in Radiography required; additional certifications in CT, Ultrasound, or Interventional Radiology (e.g., RRA) are highly desirable, • BLS required; ACLS preferred, • License required if applicable, • 2 professional references from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager within the past year and within the specialty are required for considerationAdditional Information, • Provide medical services within scope of practice and assigned privileges under physician supervision, • Perform patient assessments using age-specific growth and development principles across the lifespan, • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and technologists to prepare procedure rooms, manage equipment, and maintain supply inventory, • Document procedures accurately, including procedural notes, imaging findings, and patient outcomes, • Educate patients on procedures, obtain informed consent, and provide pre- and post-procedure instructions, • Ensure compliance with radiation protection standards, infection control guidelines, and Medical Staff Bylaws With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
