American Traveler is seeking a travel Home Health Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Largo, Florida. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Occupational Therapist, • Discipline: Therapy, • Start Date: 05/04/2026, • Duration: 20 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 5x8hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: May 4, 2026, • Length: 20 weeks, • Home health setting providing skilled visits to patients in their place of residence, • Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), • Caseload of 6-8 patient visits per day (minimum 6 points per day), • Diverse patient population including med/surg, cardiac, ortho, post-surgical (hips/knees/shoulders), COPD, CHF, pneumonia, CVA, falls, Parkinson's, failure to thrive, neuro, trach, trauma, AKA/BKA, and ADL cases, • Skilled home care services covered under Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance, • Equipment provided includes laptop, MiFi for internet access, and portable printer, • Charting via BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet documentation system, • Visits and hours are self-scheduled based on the needs of the HomeCare officeRequirements, • Current, active OT license (license required if applicable), • Minimum 1 year of OT experience required; 2 years preferred, • Must be an independent practitioner, • Home health experience required; OASIS training preferred, • BLS certification required, • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required to conduct home visits, • COVID vaccination required, or exemption form on file, • Flu shot required or declination on file; mandatory mask wearing at all times while at work if declining, • Proficiency in required skills including adult OT, ADLs, cardiac rehab, edema massage, feeding techniques, splinting, TENS, ultrasound, ortho, prosthetics/orthotics, standardized assessments, joint mobilization, home exercise programs, lifting and transfer, patient/family education, safety and injury prevention, and billing/documentation, • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for considerationAdditional Information, • Provide skilled occupational therapy evaluations and treatments to patients in their home environment With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
