Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Located in Columbus, GA, this position spans the entire school year, emphasizing a contract basis that allows for focused and impactful teaching. Qualifications: • Bachelors degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field, • Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing, • Strong knowledge of munication methods including ASL and auditory-verbal techniques, • Experience working with young children, particularly in an early childhood setting, • Excellent interpersonal and munication skills, • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs, • Create a supportive and engaging learning environment that promotes social and academic development, • Employ effective instructional strategies to facilitate language acquisition and munication skills, • Collaborate with parents, staff, and other professionals to ensure prehensive support for students, • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching techniques to meet evolving needs, • Access to professional development opportunities
