Position Title: (RN) – Adult Care (Med/Surg) Weekly Gross Pay :$3,476.00 Facility: New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation Location: New York, NY 10035 Start Date: September 29, 2025 Duration: Full-time, 40 hours per week Shift: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM, 5 days per week On-Call: Not required Education & Certifications Required: • Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution., • Current, active New York State RN license with primary source verification., • American Heart Association BLS certification., • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Required Skills & Experience • Physical assessment, • Medication administration, • Wound care & infection control, • IV therapy, • Post-operative care, • Telemetry monitoring, • Patient & family education, • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment. Preferred: • EPIC EMR experience. Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult Care provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients within a Med/Surg setting. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams while adhering to evidence-based nursing practices, standards, and protocols. Key Responsibilities • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers., • Provide direct and individualized bedside care to pre- and post-surgical patients., • Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications accurately., • Perform wound care, dressing changes, catheter insertions, and IV therapy., • Adjust and monitor specialized medical equipment as required., • Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and promptly report adverse reactions., • Collaborate with healthcare teams on discharge planning and continuity of care., • Educate patients and families on procedures, post-surgical care, and health management., • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient charts, medical records, and EMR systems., • Uphold infection control protocols and best nursing practices.
