Job DescriptionJob Title: Patient Care Coordinator for OrthopedicsJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our orthopedics team. This position involves providing exceptional customer service, managing patient inquiries, and ensuring smooth operations within the office. Responsibilities • Answer patient phone calls and respond to online questions., • Schedule patient appointments efficiently., • Collect payments on patient accounts., • Enter orders for MRI authorizations or DME authorizations., • Review and manage triage buckets for patients., • Contact patients as needed to address their concerns., • Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records., • Prepare charts prior to patient visits., • Triage phones for any physician or patient questions., • Customer service expertise., • Proficiency in medical terminology., • Appointment scheduling experience., • Knowledge of insurance processes is a plus., • Experience with insurance verification. The position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule with rotating Saturdays (likely one per month or less). Office hours are from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM with staggered start times between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM for full shifts. The primary location is on Plainfield Avenue, with potential floating to other locations as needed for coverage. The office environment includes a moderate patient flow and a team of 2-3 Patient Service Representatives working alongside 2 providers. The work environment is supportive and not hectic, with opportunities for internal promotions and professional growth. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of West Orange, New Jersey. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $22.00/hr.
