Position Summary The Technician I (Production, Assembly, QV Solar Panels) is responsible for performing assembly and production tasks in support of satellite system manufacturing. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow standardized work instructions, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity. Essential Functions Production & Assembly • Assemble satellite subcomponents and production parts in accordance with work instructions and engineering specifications, • Sort, stage, and organize materials on tables, racks, or bins, • Use hand tools, fixtures, and measuring/test equipment to complete assembly tasks, • Clean, package, and prepare completed assemblies for storage or shipment, • Pack, seal, label, and move materials and finished goods as required, • Follow standardized procedures to ensure product quality and consistency, • Inspect own work and identify opportunities for improvement, • Meet established productivity and production targets, • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), • Comply with applicable safety standards under the Occupational Safety and Health Act, • Follow instructions and respond appropriately to supervisory direction, • Communicate effectively with team members and support cross-functional operations, • High school diploma or GED, • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a manufacturing environment, • Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks with attention to detail, • Ability to meet production and quality expectations, • Ability to perform physical requirements of the role with or without reasonable accommodation, • Prior experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environments, • Familiarity with hand tools, measuring devices, and basic mechanical processes, • Attention to detail and quality focus, • Basic mechanical aptitude, • Time management and reliability, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift), • Frequent use of hands and fingers for fine manipulation of parts, • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed, • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation, • Manufacturing/production environment, • Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, • Exposure to dust, fumes, or airborne particles may occur Compensation is determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
