Job Description Job Title: General Production Worker – Tub Operator Job Description This role focuses on operating and supporting ink production equipment, including washing and handling large ink tubs and drums in a manufacturing environment. You will work as part of a small production team to ensure equipment remains clean, materials are properly prepared, and production runs safely and efficiently. Responsibilities • Wash and clean empty ink tubs thoroughly to prepare them for reuse in production., • Roll and position tubs onto a hoist and safely tilt them to start the automated washing process., • Operate, or become cross-trained to operate, filler, mill, or mixing machines as production needs require., • Handle ink drums weighing up to one ton that are placed on rollers, ensuring safe and accurate positioning of drums and pallets., • Consistently lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift., • Follow written batch instructions and measurements to support accurate chemical mixing and production processes., • Use basic math skills to calculate weights, volumes, and quantities needed for production batches., • Operate general manufacturing and warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts if trained and authorized., • Monitor machines during operation, identify issues, and communicate any problems to the appropriate team members., • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling and storage of chemicals and materials., • Work collaboratively with a team of production workers to meet production goals and deadlines., • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines related to chemical handling, machine operation, and material movement. Essential Skills • Verifiable high school diploma or GED., • Minimum age of 18 years., • Ability to pass a state and federal BG check., • Ability to successfully complete at least a 5-panel drug screen., • Manufacturing experience in a production environment., • Ability to consistently lift and move up to 50 pounds., • Basic math skills for measurements, weights, and batch calculations., • Ability to work in a physically demanding role that involves standing, lifting, and handling heavy materials., • Comfort working in a dirty environment with ink and paint odors., • Willingness to work an early morning, 10-hour shift schedule Monday through Thursday, with occasional Fridays as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Any computer experience is a plus, especially for basic data entry or machine interface use., • Any weighing experience is a plus, particularly in a manufacturing or warehouse setting., • Experience with general labor, warehouse operations, or machine operation is beneficial., • Experience working with chemicals, mixing, or batching processes is an advantage., • Forklift experience or certification is helpful for handling drums and pallets., • Comfort working with large, heavy drums and operating hoists or similar equipment. Work Environment You will work on a production team with approximately six other production workers in a manufacturing facility focused on ink production. The environment is dirty, and ink can stain clothing, so you should expect to wear work-appropriate attire that can get stained and follow any provided personal protective equipment guidelines. There is a noticeable odor similar to paint due to the nature of the products and materials used. The role involves regular physical activity, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and handling large drums placed on rollers. The standard shift runs Monday through Thursday starting at 4:30 a.m. for a 10-hour shift, with occasional Fridays as needed to meet production demands Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Haltom City, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
