Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ED - Emergency Department, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 09/15/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Float Nurse for our dynamic Emergency Department. This position involves providing exceptional nursing care while floating across five hospitals (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL) based on patient needs and staffing requirements. The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical skills, a patient-centered approach, and the flexibility to work in various healthcare settings. Key Responsibilities: • Float to different hospitals as needed, providing care to a diverse range of patients across high-volume Emergency Departments., • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients of all ages, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics., • Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and perform assessments to identify changes in condition., • Administer medications, conduct treatments, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams., • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC charting system., • Address and manage acute situations, including but not limited to trauma, respiratory distress, and mental health crises., • Valid New Jersey or Compact RN license., • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an Emergency Department or acute care setting within the last 12 months., • Strong knowledge of dysrhythmias with the ability to pass a Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing the contract (test must be taken on a PC)., • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS., • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment., • Day shift (3x12-Hour - 07:00 - 19:00), • Every other weekend and holiday commitment is required., • Daily census of approximately 80 patients with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5 in PCU and MS/Tele units., • Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy., • Equipment and technology to enhance patient care and safety.
