Compensation $33/hr Location:: Lindenhurst, NY Shift: 5:00pm- 1:30am Responsibilities: * This position is responsible for the safe and reliable transport of Primo Water products to company pre-assigned distribution points. * Safely operate transport vehicle. * Ensuring vehicle meets all Department of Transportation (DOT) laws and company standards. * Understanding of load and freight weight requirements. * Operate forklift to unload and reload trailer with company products. * Complete all required company and DOT required documents and reports. * Maintain cleanliness of company vehicle. * Ability to manage and track inventory. * Protect company assets by securing product loads before and during transport. * Complete comprehensive vehicle inspections. Responsibilities: • Collection/Delivery - Operates all assigned vehicles, single, tandem, or multi axle configurations, forklifts, etc. in accordance with established safety standards, proper vehicle operation techniques and specified time schedules. Completes necessary paperwork, including accurate logbooks, records of cargo and any other assigned record-keeping duties on a daily basis., • Loading/Unloading - Loads and unloads containers, pallets, or materials and products, safely on trucks, trailers, or railcars by hand or by forklift truck. When loading, ensures loads are evenly balanced and distributed from the front of the trailer to the back and from side to side, as well checks axle weights and loads them in accordance with the DOT regulations., • Warehouse - Performs all necessary duties to maintain a clean, tidy and safe warehouse, ensuring all materials are stored in the designated areas. Reports any shortfalls of packaging stock, to the appropriate person, to ensure minimal stock levels are always maintained. Ensures refridges, freezers and incubator/oven temperatures are checked and remain within prescribed parameters and maintain accurate records thereof.
