Job Description Title: Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Coordinator Department: Sexual Assault Services Supervisor: Director of Sexual Assault Services Effective Date: 1/1/2026 Status: Full Time/Exempt Grade: SUMMARY The Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Coordinator oversees the coordination and implementation of Union County's confidential sexual violence response services, ensuring compassionate, survivor-centered support for victims of sexual assault. This position is responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising Confidential Sexual Violence Advocates (CSVAs); maintaining strong collaboration with law enforcement, healthcare providers, and prosecutors; and ensuring compliance with all state and programmatic standards. Working under the supervision of the Director of Sexual Assault Services, the SART Coordinator plays a key role in creating and sustaining a trauma-informed, coordinated community response to sexual violence in alignment with the mission and values of the YWCA Union County. EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SPECIALIZED TRAINING • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or related human services field required., • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with survivors of sexual or domestic violence., • Demonstrated knowledge of sexual violence, trauma, and crisis intervention best practices., • Strong leadership, training, and organizational skills., • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills., • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary partners, including law enforcement and medical professionals., • Cultural competency and demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)., • Completion of NJCASA's 40-hour Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate training or willingness to complete upon hire., • Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred. Program Coordination • Oversee and manage the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) for Union County, ensuring 24/7 coverage for survivor accompaniments., • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer and staff Confidential Sexual Violence Advocates (CSVAs)., • Coordinate the scheduling of on-call shifts and maintain accurate documentation of SART responses., • Serve as the primary liaison with law enforcement, hospitals, and the prosecutor's office to ensure a collaborative, trauma-informed response., • Conduct and facilitate NJCASA-approved 40-hour CSVA trainings at least twice annually., • Provide ongoing education, debriefings, and professional development for staff and volunteers., • Maintain up-to-date training materials, ensuring they are inclusive, culturally relevant, and trauma-informed., • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners to strengthen coordinated response efforts., • Provide outreach, education, and training to community organizations, schools, and law enforcement agencies about sexual violence and available services., • Maintain accurate and timely data collection, documentation, and reporting for all SART activities., • Track service utilization, volunteer hours, and training compliance., • Assist with the development of annual goals, program evaluation, and grant reporting., • Represent the YWCA Union County in a professional, compassionate, and mission-driven manner., • Promote the mission of the YWCA: eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all., • Participate in agency-wide meetings, trainings, and community outreach events as requested., • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
