Columbia University invites applications for an appointment in Ukrainian studies to be filled at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, Visiting Associate Professor, or Visiting Professor in Ukrainian Studies for one year in the academic year 2026-2027. Rank commensurate with experience. History is the preferred area of research and teaching specialization, but literary/cultural studies and other areas will also be considered. The successful candidate will be appointed in one of the Humanities or Social Science Departments in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and will teach three courses throughout the academic year: a lecture course of broad interest for undergraduates, a seminar for upper-level undergradutes, and a seminar for graduate students.
