Ultrasound Technologist 📍 New York, NY 💲 $45–$56 per hour 🕒 Full-Time | 36 hours/week 📅 Contract: 13 or 26 weeks 📅 Start Date: April 2026 About the Opportunity A well-established outpatient private imaging practice in New York City with over 50 years of experience is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join their team. This practice is known for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and partners with leading healthcare institutions including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. This role focuses heavily on GYN, pelvic, and transvaginal ultrasound studies, with opportunities to work with a diverse patient population in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Schedule • 4x10-hour shifts, • Monday – Friday, • 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM, • Rotating weekday off, • No weekends Key Responsibilities • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures including GYN, pelvic, abdominal, and transvaginal studies, • Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations while explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort, • Select appropriate transducers and adjust ultrasound equipment settings based on exam requirements, • Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images, • Monitor image quality and adjust scanning techniques as needed, • Record patient data and exam information in the ultrasound system, • Maintain accurate documentation of imaging studies and diagnostic results, • Work collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff to support accurate diagnoses Required Qualifications • ARDMS certification (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography), • New York State license (or ability to obtain prior to start), • BLS certification, • 3–5 years of ultrasound experience, • Experience with abdominal and OB/GYN ultrasound exams, • Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound program Preferred Qualifications • Experience performing vascular ultrasound studies, • Experience with pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound imaging Technology & Equipment • GE E9 Ultrasound Machine, • Royal Systems EHR, • GE UV PACS Work Environment • Outpatient private imaging center, • Approximately 1 patient scheduled every 30 minutes, • Mix of screening and diagnostic imaging cases, • Collaborative team of radiologists specializing in multiple imaging subspecialties Why Join This Practice? • Established NYC imaging practice with an excellent reputation, • Collaborative radiology team with subspecialty expertise, • Strong partnerships with leading healthcare organizations, • Stable patient volume and structured scheduling, • Opportunity to work with advanced imaging technology
