Description We are seeking a Lead Transmission Line Engineer who will manage a collaborative and dynamic team working in a fast-paced environment, solving challenging problems involved with electric transmission. The successful candidate will serve as a Lead Engineer and Technical Project Manager on high voltage electric transmission line design projects of overhead and underground systems for some of the largest utilities in the country as well as regional utilities. The candidate will apply NESC, ASCE, ACI, NEC, and other applicable standards in the engineering and design of all types of capital and maintenance projects from 34.5 kV to 765 kV. Additionally, the candidate will direct a team of engineers that regularly perform engineering analyses, PLS-CADD modeling, structure loading calculations, foundation design using MFAD and/or LPILE, design structure framing and hardware assemblies, draft plans and specifications, and prepare bill of materials and procurement documents across project planning, engineering, environmental, permitting, and construction management phases. POSITION SUMMARY The Construction Quality Engineer (CQE) is responsible for implementation of the Quality Plan and oversight of all quality issues, ensuring that all aspects of the tunnel meet the required contractual, technical, quality and regulatory standards focusing on quality assurance and control throughout the construction process. He must ensure compliance with the Construction Quality Management Plan (CQMP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), released-for-construction (RFC) drawings and applicable standards. This position must operate independently from production and supervision teams to maintain objectivity and integrity in quality program processes. RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop and implement quality assurance plans ensuring that all construction activities comply with project specifications and standards. The Electrical Service Technician (Contact Voltage Field Inspector) is given a circuit map for a specific geographic area for our client in which to conduct their testing and inspection. Each map identifies the Electric Distribution facilities owned by our client in which inspection and testing is to be conducted on an annual basis. The job function follows specific testing guidelines as set forth by the NY PSC. Utilizing the circuit map the inspector needs to test all metallic streetlights and traffic signals for contact voltage using a HD LV-5 low voltage detector. A series of field audit questions are then entered into an application on the company provided mobile device to capture information required by the client. A typical inspection takes approximately 1-5 minutes to complete depending on the type of structure.
