Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: OR - Operating Room, • Discipline: RN, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 37.5 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our surgical department. This role requires a strong leader who can manage nursing staff, ensure high standards of patient care, and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in acute care settings, particularly in operating rooms, and possess a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices and procedures. Duties • Manage the daily operations of the operating room, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal patient care., • Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations., • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate surgical procedures., • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards., • Develop and implement training programs for nursing staff to enhance skills in areas such as IV insertion, catheter care, and emergency medicine., • Maintain accurate medical documentation and oversee the management of medical records., • Conduct patient assessments to ensure appropriate care plans are developed and implemented., • Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed., • Proficient in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks., • Strong background in critical care, acute care, or emergency medicine with experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers., • Knowledgeable in ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation., • Experience managing teams within a hospital or surgical setting., • Familiarity with various nursing specialties including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, and home care., • Ability to perform essential nursing tasks such as medication administration, phlebotomy, suturing, airway management, and specimen collection/processing., • Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques relevant to surgical environments., • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and patient education., • BLS (AHA or ARC), • CNOR via CCI, • Monday thru Friday days About ProMed Staffing Resources ProMed Staffing Resources has been a trusted leader in healthcare staffing for over three decades, delivering top-tier workforce solutions with a commitment to excellence.
