Get in touch and join us on our journey! About the Role The Warehouse Supervisor will supervise team members, ensure efficient operations, and maintain a safe work environment for the warehouse. The role includes inventory control, process optimization, and quality assurance, while also ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. This position is full-time, exempt at our Secaucus, NJ warehouse. The warehouse is a high velocity, climate-controlled facility, and is our primary location for importing and selling specialty perishable food products to our customers. We have operated with a WMS for over one year. Responsibilities • Daily Support & Coordination: Assist in organizing daily warehouse activities and help ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately., • Peer Guidance: Serve as a go-to resource for team members by offering support, answering questions, and helping train new employees on processes and best practices., • Inventory Control: Help monitor inventory levels, report discrepancies, and support regular counts to keep records accurate and up to date., • Process Awareness: Identify and suggest improvements to workflows and help implement solutions that keep things running smoothly., • Quality Checks: Support quality control efforts by helping ensure incoming and outgoing products meet company standards., • Safety Champion: Model and reinforce safe work practices. Report safety issues and help maintain a clean, organized workspace., • Logistics Assistance: Actively participate in receiving, storing, and shipping goods, while helping coordinate task flow to meet deadlines., • Team Communication: Help relay updates and information between the warehouse team and supervisors or other departments to keep everyone aligned., • Recordkeeping: Assist in maintaining accurate documentation of inventory movements, shipments, order processing, and safety programs., • Problem Solver: Jump in to troubleshooting issues on the floor and escalate larger concerns to the supervisor as needed., • Team Collaboration: Help build a positive team environment by encouraging collaboration, respect, and shared accountability. What you will bring to this role: • 5+ years of relevant work experience such as warehouse, operations, supply chain, facilities maintenance, military, and/or manufacturing/production, • Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred, • Strong leadership, communication and people development skills, • Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) operations strongly preferred, • Experience with food or related wholesaling or distribution a plus, • Familiarity with inventory control systems and methods, • Experience driving compliance with OSHA, HAACP and other regulatory requirements, • Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills within all levels of an organization, • The ability to make decisions, problem-solve, prioritize assignments and direct teams in a dynamic warehouse environment, • Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word a plus, • Bilingual conversation ability (Spanish) preferred Work Environment • The work takes place in normal warehouse environments as well as in refrigerated areas.
