Job Description POSITION TITLE: Compliance Coordinator POSITION REPORTS TO: Facility Manager Position Summary August Tenth Capital Investments — operating under our new adult-use cannabis brand My Dad’s Stash — is preparing to launch a state-licensed cultivation and processing facility in the coming months. We are building a high-performing team excited to join a ground-floor startup environment and help shape one of New Jersey’s newest and most compliant cannabis operations. We are seeking a Compliance Coordinator who will serve as the primary leader responsible for ensuring operational compliance across cultivation and post-harvest functions. This role oversees regulatory requirements issued by the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC), manages SOP development and revisions, supports METRC accuracy, and acts as the facility’s primary point of contact during regulatory inspections. The Compliance Manager will work closely with cultivation, harvest, packaging, and operations teams to ensure all activities are performed in alignment with company policies, safety standards, and state regulations. This position requires a detail-driven, organized, and proactive leader capable of maintaining transparency, accountability, and operational excellence within a fast-growing startup environment. Key Responsibilities • Lead and oversee all compliance efforts across cultivation and post-harvest operations to ensure adherence to New Jersey CRC regulations and all applicable state requirements., • Serve as the facility’s primary point of contact for regulatory inspections, audits, site visits, and corrective action implementation., • Develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cultivation, sanitation, inventory tracking, waste disposal, and operational compliance while managing document control and version updates., • Conduct internal compliance audits of METRC data, plant and package inventories, plant movement records, waste logs, harvest batch records, and facility documentation., • Identify discrepancies within METRC or seed-to-sale tracking systems and collaborate with department leaders to resolve issues promptly and maintain accurate records., • Monitor regulatory updates and policy changes issued by the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission and communicate relevant updates to leadership and staff., • Develop and deliver compliance training programs for new hires and ongoing employee education to ensure consistent understanding of regulatory requirements and company procedures., • Work collaboratively with cultivation, harvest, post-harvest, and packaging teams to ensure compliance is integrated into daily operations including plant tracking, labeling, waste disposal, and documentation procedures., • Review product labeling and packaging information to ensure all required warnings, batch information, testing verification, and CRC-required disclosures are accurate and compliant., • Prepare and maintain regulatory reports, inspection records, training logs, audit documentation, and other compliance-related records., • Track key compliance indicators and operational risk factors while working with department leaders to implement corrective and preventive action plans when needed., • Ensure compliance issues are documented, investigated, and resolved appropriately and in a timely manner., • Maintain professional working relationships with regulators, inspectors, and third-party partners while ensuring the facility remains inspection-ready., • Participate in cross-department meetings to ensure new processes, facility changes, and equipment installations meet regulatory requirements., • The ideal candidate will have three or more years of compliance experience, preferably within the cannabis industry or other regulated industries such as pharmaceutical manufacturing, agriculture, food production, or regulated manufacturing environments., • Candidates should have a strong understanding of New Jersey cannabis laws and regulations (N.J.A.C. 17:30) and experience working within regulatory compliance frameworks., • Experience with METRC or other seed-to-sale tracking systems and conducting inventory reconciliations or internal compliance audits is strongly preferred., • The candidate must demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to interpret regulations and translate them into practical operational procedures., • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to train and support employees on compliance practices and SOP implementation., • Candidates should be comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines within a fast-paced startup environment and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint., • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older and able to meet all New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission requirements, including background checks, fingerprinting, and agent registration., • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, though equivalent experience in regulatory compliance or cannabis operations may be considered.Company DescriptionWe are a licensed cannabis cultivation facility in North Plainfield, NJ focused on producing high-quality cannabis through modern cultivation techniques.
