Job DescriptionJob Title: Shipping Warehouse Associate Job Description The Shipping Warehouse Associate safely moves, tracks, and prepares materials within a warehouse environment to support efficient shipping and receiving operations. This role handles inventory tagging and documentation, operates warehouse equipment, and ensures that all freight is accurately picked, packed, loaded, and unloaded while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities • Move materials throughout the warehouse in a safe, efficient, and organized manner., • Track materials within the warehouse, including tagging items, maintaining accurate inventory records, and documenting weight and dimensions., • Accurately complete all required paperwork and system documentation related to shipping, receiving, and inventory., • Sort and segregate all distributions accurately to ensure correct routing and processing., • Operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, while strictly following all safety procedures and protocols., • Load and unload freight from trucks, vans, and other transportation vehicles, ensuring that all items match the accompanying paperwork., • Perform quality checks on products during loading and unloading to identify and report any potential damage., • Document and update disposal data to ensure that all use of dumpsters and waste handling is accurately captured., • Pick and pack materials and freight in a timely, accurate, and orderly manner to meet operational deadlines., • Use RF scanners or similar devices to assist with order picking, inventory tracking, and shipment processing., • Label materials, packages, and pallets clearly and correctly to support accurate shipping and inventory control., • Support general warehouse labor tasks as needed to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area.Essential Skills, • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts., • Experience with general labor in a warehouse or similar environment., • Proficiency in material handling, including moving, stacking, and organizing freight., • Ability to use RF scanners or similar handheld devices for order picking and inventory tracking., • Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including verifying paperwork and shipments., • Strong attention to detail for accurate tagging, labeling, and completion of documentation., • Ability to perform order picking, packing, and warehouse packing tasks efficiently., • Capability to conduct basic quality checks on products and materials., • Reliable work habits and ability to follow safety procedures and operational protocols.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with warehouse inventory control and documentation., • Familiarity with sorting and segregating distributions or shipments., • Comfort working with disposal and waste documentation processes., • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting accuracy and productivity expectations., • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities within the warehouse.Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Piscataway, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
