Essential Duties include: • Instruct swimming lessons as assigned, preparing engaging lesson plans., • Build positive relationships with members and participants, providing motivational support., • Encourage involvement from members and parents, identifying potential volunteers., • Supervise students consistently, ensuring their safety and providing assistance as needed., • Share information about our aquatics programs and schedules, referring participants to other offerings as appropriate., • Maintain accurate records (attendance, progress reports, etc.)., • Adhere to all YMCA policies and emergency procedures, completing incident reports when necessary., • Arrive on time, in proper uniform/equipment, ready for each shift., • Attend scheduled staff meetings and training sessions., • Organize and maintain class equipment, reporting any damages., • Train and supervise class aides as needed.
