Job Description Our organization is actively looking for Full-Time Ophthalmologists to become part of our multi-specialty practice located in Manhattan, Long Island, and Brooklyn! We operate a multi-specialty group with four facilities situated in Huntington, Nesconset, Bayshore, and Commack. This position will be based in Huntington, within a modern facility that opened in the summer of 2018. Long Island boasts beautiful neighborhoods with excellent educational institutions, art galleries, dining options, and concert venues. Moreover, Manhattan is just a short drive or train journey away. Our Long Island practice provides comprehensive healthcare through its locations and consists of 77 physicians across nearly every medical and surgical specialty. The facility also features a fully equipped imaging center, an accredited office endoscopy center, and an on-site laboratory, supported by a dedicated team of RNs and MAs. This role will involve coverage at three locations in Manhattan. At our West 57th Street site, we offer a complete array of health services conveniently located in Midtown. Iconic landmarks such as Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Terminal, and St. Patrick's Cathedral are nearby. Another practice is situated at West 53rd Street and 8th Avenue. Hell's Kitchen, a neighborhood bordered by 34th Street (or 41st Street) to the south, 59th Street to the north, Eighth Avenue to the east, and the Hudson River to the west, has transformed into an upscale area frequented by young professionals and long-time residents alike. Ninth Avenue is renowned for its diverse ethnic dining options, while Tenth Avenue between 43rd and 47th Streets is bustling with food carts and trucks. The tree-lined side streets of Hell's Kitchen add to its charm, and the newer Hudson Park and Boulevard is part of the Hudson Yards Redevelopment Project. Our Delancey Street location serves the Lower East Side community. We are also seeking a full-time Ophthalmologist to join our multi-specialty practice at Mount Sinai Doctors Brooklyn Heights, located in a state-of-the-art facility in Downtown Brooklyn! This practice is dedicated to delivering exceptional "whole person" healthcare and is situated at 300 Cadman Plaza West, Brooklyn, NY 11201, serving a diverse population. Located in the heart of Brooklyn Heights, it is a short walk from DUMBO, downtown Brooklyn, Cobble Hill, and Carroll Gardens, offering a plethora of dining, nightlife, and shopping options. The Brooklyn waterfront features parks, sports fields, and playgrounds with stunning views of NYC. Additionally, there are top-rated public and private schools within walking distance, along with numerous cultural venues such as the Brooklyn Academy of Music and Mark Morris Dance Studio. Our Brooklyn Heights practice provides comprehensive care, allowing patients to access various specialties, including allergy, cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonary, endocrinology, pediatrics, Ob/Gyn, dermatology, and urology, all in one location. Services include on-site lab work, radiology, and comprehensive Breast Cancer Screening (FNA), ultrasound, X-ray, CT scans, and cardiac testing, supported by a dedicated team of MAs and LPNs. The ideal candidates will be pivotal in delivering outstanding patient care, achieving quality outcomes, and ensuring patient satisfaction. Our Department of Ophthalmology is dedicated to holistic patient care, emphasizing a patient-centered approach. Key Responsibilities: • Diagnose and manage a variety of eye diseases and conditions., • Perform necessary surgical procedures, including pre- and post-operative examinations, and guide patients on self-care for optimal recovery., • Provide health education and counseling while establishing preventive health practices., • Initiate laboratory, radiology, and pathology tests, as well as specialty consultations when needed., • Exercise clinical judgment in prioritizing medical care and consult with or refer to specialists for high-risk or complex cases., • Promote a collaborative and professional work environment with all team members and colleagues., • Engage in Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and clinical projects for practice enhancement as requested., • Medical Degree from an accredited institution., • Eligibility to obtain a New York medical license., • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Ophthalmology., • Active DEA license along with BLS and ACLS certifications., • Proven professional competence, integrity, and ethical practice., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities., • Patient-focused, dedicated to providing compassionate care and service to all patients., • A strong work ethic and a desire to contribute to a team-oriented, performance-driven healthcare system. Salary Disclosure: Our organization provides a salary range to comply with New York City's Salary Transparency law. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as experience, specialties, historical productivity, collections, and community needs. Therefore, actual salaries may fall closer to either end of the range, and in some cases, may be outside the listed range.
