Job Description Position Title: Lab Technician for Drug, Alcohol and DNA Testing Location: Edison, NJ 08820 Salary: $18.00 to $22.00 - dependent on work history and experience Contact: Jeri Burt; Overview Fastest Labs is a premier provider of non-medical drug, alcohol and DNA testing services to small and large businesses and individuals. With over 250 locations in the US, Fastest Labs is rapidly expanding in New Jersey and is seeking a detail-oriented collections lab technician to work in our new Edison location. In joining us, you will have the opportunity to grow in skills and in leadership. This hands-on position administers drug, alcohol and DNA testing services, provides support to customers and other franchises and completes assigned administrative tasks required to run the lab. This role may also be asked to support the sales staff in conducting telephone sales calls to leads and making appointments. This position requires a high level of customer service, an extremely positive attitude, PC skills and an ability to work without direct supervision after completing your training. Prior medical experience is not necessary; we provide all the training required to become a certified collector/technician. We are looking for career-minded team members who want to grow into a leadership role in a rapidly growing company. Males are encouraged to apply due to Department of Transportation observed urine testing requirements. This is a full-time, in person position. Some remote or customer onsite work may be required from time to time. Work hours are 9:00 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday (1-hour non-paid lunch break). Some overtime may be required depending on the customer account which may include a weekend. Personal Attributes The Ideal candidate is a quick learner with an urgency to become an expert in your role; has enthusiasm for learning the business and working with our corporate and personal testing clients to provide excellent customer service. Primary Responsibilities • Administer drug and alcohol tests (urine, hair, saliva, breath, nails), • Collect and process DNA samples (cheek swabs), • Maintain accurate documentation and follow all chain-of-custody procedures, • Ensure cleanliness and compliance with lab protocols, • Provide professional customer service in English. A second language such as Hindi, Gujarati or Spanish is a plus., • Educate clients on testing options and recommend appropriate services, • Promote additional services and packages to walk-in clients, • Support front desk operations and assist with inbound inquiries, • Collect payments from clients before administering a personal test, • Minimum 2 years of work experience (customer service, retail, etc.). Experience in a similar role such as BAT/urine collector or phlebotomist a positive but not required, • Bilingual fluency in English, Spanish, Hindi or Gujarati is a positive, • Male candidates encouraged to apply (for gender-specific testing protocols), • High school diploma or equivalent. Assists clinical staff in establishing priorities, setting goals, and evaluating progress toward goals., • Attends case conferences and other clinical meetings to facilitate coordination of care., • Participates in clinical on-call rotation as requested by the Agency, providing telephone support to clients as needed., • Completes client care visits or shifts as directed by the Director of Clinical Services., • Provides support and direction to Agency staff, other health care professionals, clients, and families related to appropriate and available health care resources., • Educates Agency staff on clinical services, policies, and procedures as needed., • Ensures accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of Agency clinical documentation on a weekly basis., • Completes quarterly, or more frequent as needed, client chart reviews., • Assists in screening, interviewing, orientation, and training of new Agency personnel., • Conducts timely annual performance evals on clinical staff., • Performs client admissions, supervisory visits, and reassessments as directed by Director of Clinical Services., • Develops care plans as appropriate to each client., • Manages medical practitioner orders for care and treatment of clients, where applicable., • Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications, • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred., • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state(s) of practice with the following experience at a minimum: Two (2) years' homecare experience if bachelor prepared or three (3) years' homecare experience if non-bachelor prepared; and one (1) year supervisory experience., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills., • Must be a licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with Agency and state requirements.
