This leadership position is ideal for a dynamic RN with strong management experience in hematology, oncology, and medical-surgical nursing. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for leading a team of nurses and patient care technicians, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care within a busy acute care environment. Key Responsibilities • Provide 24-hour leadership and management of the Med/Surg & Infusion Unit., • Oversee daily operations, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure safe and efficient care., • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive patient outcomes., • Assess patient care requirements and make regular rounds in all assigned units., • Support and guide staff in problem-solving and clinical decision-making., • Develop and implement staffing plans based on patient acuity, census, and skill mix.Unit Overview, • Unit: 10th Floor – Med/Surg & Infusion (Hematology/Oncology Focus), • FTE Oversight: 40 RNs and 14.5 PCTs (current vacancies: 4 RNs, 1 PCT), • Unit Capacity: 43 medical-surgical beds and 4 hemodialysis beds, • Patient Population: Oncology, chemotherapy, and general medical-surgical patients, • Charge Nurses: Serve as Assistant Nurse Managers, • Charting System: AllscriptsRequired Qualifications, • Active New York RN License (required), • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s Degree (MSN) preferred, • Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS preferred, • Experience: Minimum of 3 years recent acute care RN experience and leadership experience, • Strong background in hematology/oncology or infusion care preferred, • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, • Proven ability to lead teams effectively in high-acuity environmentsAdditional Details, • Shift: Day shift, • Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per week, • Contract Type: 13-week assignment, • On Call: No Care Setting: Acute – Med/Surg & Infusion About MedCadre At MedCadre, headquartered in Irvine, California and serving healthcare organizations nationwide, we connect exceptional clinicians with world-class career opportunities while upholding the highest standards of ethics, fairness, and integrity.
