For more information visit our website at Technical Writer (Engineering) Overview Strong technical writing skills and close attention to detail are essential. The successful candidate's responsibilities will include but are not limited to: • Gathering information from subject-matter experts and developing organizing and writing procedures, manuals, technical specifications and process documentations in a clear and concise manner, • Developing comprehensive templates and documentation that meet organizational standards, • Supporting document validation, verification and release efforts Required Skills: • Ability to read, interpret and understand drawings, blueprints, operation sheets, wiring diagrams and written instructions, • Ability to translate complex information into simple, user-friendly content, • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, • Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently, • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, • Ability to ambulate a manufacturing facility, • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods, • Proficient computer skills – Word, Excel, PPT, Visio, Project, • Excellent typing skills, • Excellent written, grammatical and verbal communication skills Desired Skills • Familiarity with various lab equipment, • Experience working with multiple technical disciplines, • Experience in working in an engineering development and manufacturing environment Required Experience: • A Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and a minimum of 5 years' experience writing technical documents preferred., • Preferred experience writing government proposals, • Advanced writing, proofreading and editing skills necessary to develop tailored proposals and other marketing communications, • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, • Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to plan and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, • Effective verbal communication & interpersonal skills including the ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external clients, • Complete proficiency with MS Office and a working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Adobe Creative Suite, • Competency in MS SharePoint or similar collaboration/file management/version control systems, • Must be a US Citizen. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $80,000 - $120,000 Annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, and internal consistency.
