Position Summary The Senior Manager, Financial Risk Management is responsible for overseeing all aspects of agent risk analysis, debt management, chargeback mitigation, and merchant processing. This role focuses on developing and implementing financial strategies to minimize risk exposure and improve fiscal outcomes for the organization and its partners. With a targeted lens on risk analysis, debt reduction, and pre-qualification for advanced commissions, this position supports both operational stability and long-term growth. This role partners closely with Finance, Operations, Compliance, and external partners to improve processes, safeguard revenue, and support the company’s growth objectives. Key Responsibilities Debt Management & Risk Analysis • Develop and implement strategies for managing and recovering outstanding debts., • Conduct detailed risk assessments of merchant and client accounts to minimize credit and operational risks., • Establish key risk indicators (KRIs) and monitoring dashboards for early detection of high-risk activity., • Evaluate financial eligibility for commission advancements, ensuring alignment with underwriting and compliance guidelines., • Design and maintain risk models to forecast partner performance and mitigate over-advancement exposure., • Lead chargeback prevention and mitigation strategies to reduce financial exposure., • Oversee merchant processing operations, ensuring compliance with payment industry standards and regulations., • Maintain relationships with payment processors, acquirers, and card networks., • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across risk analysis, debt management, chargebacks, and merchant risk., • Drive process improvements, automation, and technology enhancements to increase efficiency., • Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on operational performance, risk exposure, and financial impacts., • Ensure alignment of team activities with overall business goals and compliance requirements. Skills & Qualifications • Strong background in accounting, operations, or risk management (degree or relevant experience)., • Experience with credit analysis, underwriting, and/or risk modeling., • Proven experience managing debt collection strategies and risk assessment frameworks., • Strong knowledge of chargeback processes, card network rules, merchant acquiring, vendor management, and payment ecosystems., • High proficiency with financial systems, reconciliation tools, and data analytics., • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional initiatives., • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills., • Proficiency in Excel; Working with large data sets and macros is preferred., • Working with SQL and Power BI a plus.
