Fort Collins
Job DescriptionWho we are We're a family-owned and operated independent insurance agency representing many of the top-rated carriers in the country — which means we quote, write, and advocate for what's actually best for the client, not what one company tells us to sell. We've spent years building something we're genuinely proud of, and we're one of the highest-rated independent agencies on Google in our region — because we earn it, one household at a time. Our work is recognized beyond just our clients: • Multiple carrier awards for production, service, and partnership, • Industry technology awards for how we run our agency and serve clients, • Deep community involvement across Northern Colorado — we don't just work here, we live here, raise families here, and invest in the people around us We're not the biggest agency in town. We don't want to be. We want to be the best — and the people, the tools, and the results back that up. We do things well, not fast. We're hiring for the long haul — a producer who takes pride in doing the work right, treats clients like people, and wants to build something steady over many years. What you'll do Location: This is an in-office role based in Fort Collins, Colorado. We work together, learn together, and serve our clients as a team. As our Experienced Personal Lines Insurance Agent, you'll own the full sales lifecycle for new household clients across auto, home, umbrella, and related coverages. As an independent agency, you'll have access to many top-rated carriers — so you can shop the market, find the right fit for each client, and never have to force a square peg into a round hole. You'll work alongside a strong service team who handles the bulk of administrative service work, freeing you to focus on what you do best: building relationships, closing business, growing the book, and stepping in where licensed expertise is required. A typical day might include: • Quoting and closing inbound leads from our SEO, marketing, and brand channels, • Following up on warm prospects from our giveaway and promotional programs (all consent-based — no cold calling), • Cultivating referrals and self-generated opportunities, • Service your sold accounts and existing book clients when they call with licensed needs — and turn those touchpoints into cross-sell opportunities. Our existing book has significant untapped potential across umbrella, recreational vehicles, scheduled items, and account rounding., • Conducting thorough needs assessments — protecting clients' homes, families, and what they've built, • Coordinating with our CSRs and account managers to deliver a first-class experience start to finish, • Participating in community events, networking, and asking great clients for referrals You're not starting from scratch. The majority of your leads come to you through our marketing engine — inbound from our SEO and paid search channels, plus warm outbound prospects from our consent-based giveaway and promotional programs. No cold-calling, no purchased lists, no friction. Spend your time having real conversations with people who want to talk to you. A note on our existing book: our in-force book is a real opportunity, not a side project. There's substantial untapped potential across umbrella, recreational vehicles, scheduled property, and account rounding. A producer who works the book intentionally — turning service touchpoints into coverage conversations — can drive meaningful production without needing to generate a single new household. What you'll earn • Base salary: $45,000-$55,000 commensurate with experience, • 25% commission on all new business — including cross-sold policies on existing accounts, • Steady, fair, predictable earnings that grow as you build your book and contribute to the team, • Generous paid time off — we believe rest and family time matter, • Ongoing professional training and development — we invest in keeping you sharp, growing your expertise, and helping you advance your careerWhat you bring You're 3+ years into a personal lines career and you know your craft. You're licensed in Colorado with an active Property & Casualty license. You've built real relationships with clients and you understand that the best sales come from genuine consultation, not pressure. You bring: • Solid personal lines experience with strong product knowledge across auto, home, and umbrella, • A consultative, client-first approach — you measure success by trust earned, not just policies sold, • Strong closing skills and the ability to manage a healthy pipeline, • Organization and time management that lets you handle volume without dropping balls, • Familiarity with modern agency technology — comparative raters, AMS platforms, digital quoting tools, • A growth mindset and genuine interest in continuing to develop professionally, • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, • Comfort balancing sales with service. You see service calls as opportunities, not interruptions — taking care of your clients and finding their next coverage need is part of how the best producers grow, • Willingness to work in-office — you see the value in being part of a team, not just a calendar invite, • Community orientation — you want to be part of Northern Colorado, not just work here Bonus points for: experience across multiple carriers, an existing referral network in NoCo, or a track record of cross-selling and account rounding. Why this role, why us We're hiring one person, not a department. This is a long-term seat for the right person — and we'll invest in you for the long haul, the same way we continually invest in our team, our training, and the technology that makes this work easier and more effective every year. When you join us, you'll get: • Access to many top-rated carriers — quote across our market lineup and actually serve clients' best interests, instead of pushing one product, • Award-winning technology that makes your work faster, smarter, and more accurate, • A real lead pipeline — inbound from our SEO and brand, consent-based warm outbound prospects, and significant cross-sell upside across our existing book, • A rockstar service team that handles administrative service work alongside you, so you can focus your time where it matters most — closing, cross-selling, and growing the book, • Family ownership that means stable leadership, real decision-making access, and no corporate red tape, • Stable, fair compensation at an agency that's growing thoughtfully and built to last If you're looking for a long-term seat at an agency that values craft over churn — where you can take care of clients, build steady production, and be part of something built to last — we'd like to meet you. Our hiring process We take hiring seriously because the right person matters more than filling a seat quickly. Our process includes a brief phone conversation, an in-person interview, and a skills-based assessment so we can evaluate real-world ability — not just resumes. We move thoughtfully and respect your time throughout. Apply now
