This role serves as a key resource for clients and internal teams by preparing and reviewing documents, coordinating closings, and providing expert guidance on 1031 Exchange policies. Additionally, the Associate Analyst contributes to training initiatives and marketing strategies for both internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities • Guide customers and team members through real and personal property 1031 exchanges., • Communicate promptly and professionally with clients, realtors, lenders, title companies, and other stakeholders to achieve team and company goals., • Maintain and monitor files for compliance with IRS Section 1031, BSA, and the Patriot Act., • Coordinate and attend closings related to 1031 exchanges., • Manage and disburse client funds in accordance with 1031 Exchange policies and procedures., • Prepare and deliver 1031 Exchange training sessions for internal and external audiences., • Conduct Continuing Education classes for real estate professionals on 1031 Exchange topics., • Review and prepare exchange documents for accuracy and compliance., • Stay current on 1031 Exchange laws, standards, and regulations; interpret and communicate updates effectively., • Serve as a subject matter resource and team lead on 1031 Exchange policies and procedures., • Support marketing efforts for 1031 exchanges and other Verus Bank of Commerce products., • Update departmental documents, manuals, and resources as needed., • Mentor and train junior team members., • Strong judgment and decision-making skills., • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities., • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining quality., • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills., • High attention to detail., • In-depth knowledge of 1031 Exchange guidelines and regulations., • Familiarity with internal and external lending guidelines., • Frequent stationary work during business hours., • Regular use of computers and office equipment., • Occasional movement to access files and office resources., • Frequent communication with customers and team members in person and by phone., • Ability to exchange accurate information consistently.
