    We are seeking an experienced Safety Specialist to join our trucking company. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, promoting a strong safety culture, and reducing risk across fleet operations. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in transportation safety and a solid understanding of DOT/FMCSA regulations. ✅ Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and driver evaluations Investigate accidents and incidents; implement corrective actions Maintain accurate safety records, logs, and compliance documentation Monitor driver performance (HOS, ELD, violations, etc.) Develop and deliver safety training programs for drivers and staff Identify risks and implement strategies to improve overall safety performance Requirements Minimum 5+ years of safety experience in trucking, logistics, or transportation Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations Experience with ELD systems (Samsara, Motive, or similar preferred) Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Preferred Qualifications (optional) Experience managing safety for a fleet operation Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Previous experience with safety audits and compliance reviews Why Join Us Competitive pay Stable and growing company Opportunity to make a direct impact on safety and operations
