Why This Role Matters At Goodyear Iberia, we are expanding our HR team and are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist Iberia to join us on a part-time basis (20 hours/week). In this role, you will ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery for Spain and Portugal, acting as the key link between Goodyear and external payroll providers, while supporting employees and business stakeholders with expert payroll guidance. You will report to the Payroll Manager Europe South, based in France, and play a key role in driving payroll excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement across Iberia. What You'll Do Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing for Spain and Portugal, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local regulations and collective bargaining agreements. Validate payroll inputs (hires, terminations, changes, bonuses, leaves, allowances, shifts, etc.) and reconcile payroll outputs from external providers. Act as the primary point of contact for external payroll vendors, monitoring service quality, SLAs, escalations, and continuous improvement actions. Ensure compliance with labor law, social security, taxation, and internal payroll controls, supporting internal and external audits as required. Prepare, analyze, and validate monthly payroll reports for HR, Finance, and management. Provide expert support to employees, HR Business Partners, Finance, HRIS, and Legal on payroll, benefits, taxation, and time & attendance matters. Drive process improvements, standardization, and digitalization of payroll activities, ensuring alignment with global standards where applicable. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). 5+ years of payroll experience in Spain; exposure to Portugal payroll is a strong advantage. Strong knowledge of Spanish labor law, social security, taxation, and payroll compliance. Proven experience working with external payroll providers (e.g., ADP, SD Worx, or similar). Solid experience with HRIS and payroll systems (Workday, SAP HR, Meta4, or similar), with advanced Excel skills preferred. High attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, service orientation, confidentiality, plus fluency in Spanish and English (Portuguese is a plus) and availability to work from the Madrid area.
