ppbNTU International /b is preparing a proposal for the bEU-funded /b project “bEU Assistance for the Uzbekistan AgriFood Development Strategy 2020–2030 /b”, which aims to support the Government of Uzbekistan in the implementation of a sustainable, market-oriented, inclusive and climate-smart agri-food system. The project focuses on strengthening policy and regulatory frameworks, institutional capacities, and public sector governance in support of the Agri‑Food Development Strategy 2020–2030. /p pThe Technical Assistance will support strategic planning, climate resilience, and sustainable resource management approaches related to agriculture and water systems, including long‑term foresight and scenario‑based policy planning. /p pbNTU International /b is seeking a Senior Water–Agriculture Foresight Expert to support integrated water‑agriculture planning, foresight analysis, and long‑term resilience strategies related to sustainable agri‑food development in Uzbekistan. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liSupport development of foresight analyses and long‑term planning frameworks related to water and agriculture systems; /li liProvide technical assistance on integrated water resource management and sustainable agricultural water use; /li liConduct scenario analyses, climate impact assessments, and strategic modelling related to agricultural production and water availability; /li liSupport development of evidence‑based strategies for drought resilience, irrigation efficiency, and sustainable resource allocation; /li liAdvise Ministries and public institutions on water‑agriculture nexus policies, resilience planning, and future risk management approaches; /li liSupport integration of climate adaptation, food security, and resource sustainability considerations into sector planning processes; /li liContribute to preparation of foresight studies, policy analyses, strategic recommendations, and technical reports; /li liCoordinate with Ministries, water agencies, agricultural institutions, research organisations, and development partners; /li liDeliver workshops, technical training, and capacity‑building activities related to water‑agriculture foresight and strategic planning; /li liContribute to monitoring, reporting, and analytical outputs related to water management and agricultural resilience initiatives. /li /ul h3Education /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in water resources management, agricultural economics, environmental sciences, irrigation engineering, climate policy, or another relevant field. /li /ul h3General Professional Experience /h3 ul liMinimum 10 years of professional experience in water management, agricultural planning, foresight analysis, or climate resilience; /li liProven experience working on water, agriculture, or rural development projects in developing or transition economies; /li liExperience in international development cooperation and donor‑funded programmes. /li /ul h3Specific Professional Experience /h3 ul liMinimum 7 years of experience in integrated water‑agriculture planning, foresight studies, or strategic resource management; /li liDemonstrated experience with scenario analysis, climate impact modelling, irrigation systems, or long‑term agricultural planning; /li liExperience related to drought management, water allocation systems, climate adaptation, or food security analysis is considered an advantage; /li liExperience supporting projects financed by the EU, World Bank, IFAD, FAO, ADB, UN agencies, or other international financial institutions is considered a strong asset; /li liExperience working with Ministries, water authorities, agricultural institutions, or research organisations is considered an advantage; /li liExperience in Central Asia, Eastern Europe, or post‑Soviet countries is considered an asset. /li /ul h3Languages /h3 ul liWorking knowledge of Russian is considered a strong asset. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
