Associate (4–5 years post-qualification experience) Aviation, Contracts & Assets About The Role At Aeroiuris, a law firm specialised in aviation law with 30 years of experience, we are strengthening our Contracts Division across Commercial Aircraft and General Aviation. We are looking for an Associate (4–5 years post-qualification experience) to take on a high‑responsibility role combining technical excellence, structuring, and progressive team supervision. You will work on complex, high‑value aviation matters across: Aircraft transactions (commercial & private) Asset structuring and financing Contracting (leases, SPA, charter, MRO, etc.) Regulatory and tax aspects related to aviation operations You will join a core division handling high‑volume, high‑intensity transactional work. The role sits directly under General Management and offers strong exposure to decision-making and firm strategy. After an initial integration phase, you will progressively take on supervision responsibilities within the Contracts team. Key responsibilities Drafting and negotiating aviation and asset‑based contracts Structuring transactions involving aircraft ownership, financing and operations Advising on regulatory and tax implications in aviation matters Managing files autonomously with direct client exposure Contributing to internal structuring, processes and standards Progressively supervising junior lawyers after onboarding Acting as a relay between the team and management What we are looking for Experience (non‑negotiable) 4–5 years of real professional experience as a qualified lawyer Experience must involve actual responsibility on files (not only internships or support roles) Qualification Qualified lawyer / admitted to the Bar Solid academic and professional credentials Exposure to English law / qualified English Lawyer is a strong advantage Experience gained in environments handling cross‑border or international transactions will be highly valued Advanced and fully autonomous command of professional IT tools (MS Office, presentations, databases, document management systems), with a strong attention to detail and ability to produce clear, structured and high‑quality deliverables — expected to operate efficiently and independently in a demanding, fast‑paced environment Technical Background Aviation law, asset‑based finance, commercial contracts Exposure to cross‑border transactions and structuring Understanding of regulatory and tax dimensions is a strong plus This role is focused on transactional and asset‑based aviation work. It is not suited to profiles primarily focused on passenger rights or mass claims litigation, without exposure to contracts, structuring or financing.
