Program Manager – Social Media MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group is a leading sports entertainment company with exclusive commercial rights to the most exciting sport on earth. Liberty’s acquisition of MotoGP marks a significant milestone, as it brings together the two most important motorsport championships in the world and marks an important next step for future growth. Role Overview The Program Manager – Social Media is responsible for the operational delivery, programming, and optimisation of MotoGP’s global social media output. Acting as the engine of the social media function, this role translates strategic direction into structured plans, aligning internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure best-in-class execution across all platforms. Working closely with the Social Media Director, this role oversees content planning, creative briefing, scheduling and distribution of content across race weekends, always-on publishing, and campaign activity. It ensures that content reaches the right audience at the right time, with platform-specific precision, while enabling publishing and production teams to execute at a consistently high standard. This position requires strong organisational rigour, platform expertise, editorial judgement, and the ability to operate in fast-paced, live event environments. International travel is required to support real-time race weekend delivery. Key Responsibilities Content Planning & Programming • Own end-to-end multi-platform content planning across MotoGP social channels, including but not limited to: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Reddit, Twitch and Chinese market platforms: Weibo, Douyin, WeChat Official Accounts, WeChat Channels, Kuaishou and Red Note - via a third-party agency, • Build and manage structured content calendars aligned to the race calendar, key annual moments, and specific quarterly campaign activity, • Ensure content is distributed effectively – right format, right platform, right timing, • Provide clear direction and priorities to publishing teams, enabling efficient execution, • Maintain oversight of scheduling workflows and publishing operations Creative Briefing • Write clear, actionable briefs for creative development, including creation of campaign assets, • Involvement in ideation for branded content and platform-specific trends, • Ensure content is built for organic performance first, with adaptability for paid amplification, • Support ongoing creative iteration of always on concepts, based on performance data Platform Optimisation & Audience Growth • Identify opportunities to grow audiences in priority and emerging territories, • Guide platform-specific tactics to maximise reach, engagement, and retention, • Stay ahead of platform developments, formats, and behavioural trends, • Drive test-and-learn initiatives across content formats and storytelling approaches Race Weekend & Live Coverage • Support real-time content planning and coordination during race weekends, • Work closely with Social Publishing and Content teams to maximise output, • Ensure seamless execution under high-pressure, fast-paced conditions, • Manage approvals and delivery of partner-related content Ecosystem Coordination • Act as a central facilitator across MotoGP’s social ecosystem, ensuring timeline alignment, • Coordinate social activity across:, • Promoters (event promotion, awareness and facilitating route to conversion), • Teams and riders (content alignment, amplification), • Commercial partners (campaigns, collaborations, activations) Commercial & Campaign Delivery • Execute social campaigns supporting:, • MotoGP digital products, • Ticketing and event promotion, • Merchandise, licensing, and e-commerce, • Support organic-first campaigns with integrated commercial ‘plug-ins’ Paid Social Support • Collaborate with paid media teams to deliver platform-optimised creative, • Translate organic performance insights into paid creative direction, • Support campaign monitoring and optimisation Performance Tracking & Optimisation • Track and analyse core KPIs:, • Reach, engagement, audience growth, • Video views, watch time, completion rates, • Benchmark content performance and identify optimisation opportunities, • Feed insights directly into planning, programming, and creative development Workflow & Process Optimisation • Own and refine content workflows, ensuring efficient planning and execution at scale, • Identify and implement improvements in scheduling, approvals, and delivery processes, • Maintain a highly organised, structured approach across multiple platforms and time zones Key Skills & Experience • 4-7 years in social media, content, or digital roles (sports/media preferred), • Strong experience in multi-platform content planning and programming, • Proven ability to contribute to creative ideation and brief production teams, • Deep understanding of platform mechanics, formats, and optimisation, • Experience in fast-paced, live event environments, • Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills Core Competencies • Operational Excellence: Builds and runs structured, scalable workflows, • Engine Ownership: Drives planning, alignment, and delivery across the function, • Facilitation: Enables internal teams and partners to execute effectively, • Platform Fluency: Understands how content should perform across channels, • Creative Contribution: Adds value to ideation and briefing processes, • Audience Growth Mindset: Focused on expanding reach and engagement globally, • Analytical Thinking: Uses data and insights to inform programming decisions MotoGP is an inclusive company and guarantees respect for the diversity of its employees
