Under the guidance of the Director of Rooms, the Housekeeping Manager is responsible for strategizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the housekeeping department. Additionally, ensuring that the highest degree of quality is maintained at all times. Job Description What you'll do... Ensure all departmental service standards and sequences of service are being upheld. Work collaboratively with all housekeeping partners on a day-to-day basis. Maintain a close relationship with the Front Office and Engineering Team. Ensure guest satisfaction - address guest issues as they arise and provide prompt correspondence if necessary. Keep control of daily financial reports, updating profit and loss for each month end. Control departmental operating expenses and labor costs, improving departmental revenues when possible. Monitor all labor and payroll costs. Keep controls of purchasing system(s). Observe, teach and develop team members. Responsible for all union communication (if applicable). Ensured all grounds are maintained to SLS standard of service and design. Train and develop team to meet standards. Manage Capital Expenditure projects directed to housekeeping areas. Create new initiatives to improve efficiency of guest standards and operational improvements. Establish relationships with other companies in the hospitality industry. Qualifications What we're looking for... Minimum of five (5) years of housekeeping experience, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel. Previous experience with pre-opening of a hotel is a big plus. Someone who understands, celebrates and embraces the SLS brand values. (eg. Habitación con balcón, baño, piso alto...etc) • Gestionar todas las peticiones especiales, incluyendo todas las peticiones de flores, decoración de habitaciones, pedidas de mano, regalos de agencias o clientes. • Establecer contacto continuado con los huéspedes durante su estancia, en el lobby, o bien espacios de restauración. • Revisar habitaciones de los clientes VIP antes de su llegada para asegurar que estén impecables y que la amenidad esté correcta. • Producir comunicados internos sobre llegadas de suites, VIPS y celebrities para informar a los departamentos sobre las preparaciones. • Mantener una comunicación fluida constante con todos los departamentos asegurando el nivel más alto de servicio para el cliente. • Gestionar la reputación online del hotel a través de Booking.com, TripAdvisor.com, Medallia y las encuestas de Hotels Quality, crear las respuestas individuales y dar explicaciones adecuadas cuando sea necesario. • Mantener al día el Cardex de Clientes con las diferentes preferencias de los huéspedes para anticipar y conocer sus necesidades. • Actuar como comercial interno, presentando todos los puntos de venta del hotel.
