With 3 offices (Paris, Lyon, Lille) and 45 employees, IFMS is a leader in its field and is recognized for the quality of its services and customer relationships. Its strong growth in recent years is expected to continue, driven by the development of refurbishment and replacement activities for its customers' equipment. About the Role The Technical Director is responsible for leading and developing IFMS’s technical operations, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and performance across all activities. In a context of strong growth, the role combines operational excellence, team leadership, and business contribution, particularly in the development of refurbishment and equipment replacement activities. Responsibilities Technical Strategy & Development • Define and implement the technical strategy in alignment with IFMS and Alimak Group objectives, • Drive the development of value-added activities such as modernization, refurbishment, and equipment replacement, • Monitor industry trends, regulations, and technological innovations Operations Management & Performance • Oversee all technical operations (maintenance, inspection, refurbishment), • Ensure compliance with quality standards, contractual commitments, and service levels, • Optimize operational processes, resource allocation, and productivity, • Implement continuous improvement initiatives Health, Safety & Compliance • Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and industry standards (especially working at height), • Promote a strong safety culture across all teams, • Lead audits, risk prevention plans, and incident management Team Leadership & Capability Development • Lead, structure, and develop multi-site technical teams, • Support recruitment, training, and skills development, • Foster engagement, accountability, and a performance-driven culture Business Support & Customer Interface • Provide technical expertise to support sales teams (proposals, tenders, complex solutions), • Contribute to key customer relationships and strategic projects, • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality Performance & Financial Management • Define and monitor key performance indicators (quality, productivity, safety, profitability), • Contribute to budget planning and cost optimization, • Ensure profitability of technical operations and projects Group Coordination • Ensure alignment with Alimak Group standards and best practices, • Contribute to cross-functional and international initiatives, • Share feedback from field operations to support continuous improvement Qualifications • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or other equivalent qualification, • First experience in machines or systems design, • Proficient in English, • Solidworks Required Skills • Strong technical background in industrial services, maintenance, or engineering, • Proven experience in managing technical operations and teams, • Strong leadership and organizational skills, • Business-oriented mindset with a focus on performance and customer satisfaction, • Solid understanding of safety and regulatory environments
