They are now seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead their people function and manage a team of HR Advisors. The role plays a key part in ensuring staff across academic and support teams receive consistent, high quality HR support. 💥 As the HR Manager, you will: • Lead and manage a team of HR Advisors, ensuring a high standard of service across the organisation, • Oversee HR operations including onboarding, safer recruitment checks, contract preparation, compliance, and record keeping, • Provide professional advice on employee relations cases, including those relating to academic staff, support staff, and teaching contracts, • Advise managers on performance, absence, conduct, and capability cases, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and sector policies, • Ensure safer recruitment processes are followed in line with education standards and statutory guidance, • Oversee recruitment activity across academic and non academic roles, • Manage the monthly payroll process and ensure precise data submissions, • Maintain and update the HR system, ensuring accurate reporting and data compliance, • Support learning and development initiatives including CPD programmes for teaching and support staff, • Lead on wellbeing and staff engagement activity within the education setting, • Ensure HR policies follow legislative requirements and education specific guidance such as Keeping Children Safe in Education, • Strong experience in HR roles within an education, training, or academic environment, • Proven experience managing or mentoring HR Advisors or HR Officers, • Good understanding of safer recruitment, DBS processes, and compliance frameworks within education, • Confident handling complex employee relations cases, • Experience supporting recruitment processes for education based roles, • Excellent communication and people management skills, • Strong organisational ability with a proactive and supportive approach, • Experience using HR systems and managing confidential data, • Hybrid working pattern, • Supportive, values led environment, • Professional development and CPD support, • Generous annual leave and pension package, • Opportunities to contribute to wellbeing, inclusion, and staff engagement projects
