Cloud Accounting Digital Services Manager\n\nSouthwest | £32,000 - £35,000 | Up to 36.25 hours per week | Monday - Friday | Permanent\n\nIntroduction\n\nAcorn by Synergie is recruiting a Cloud Accounting Digital Services Manager (Client-Facing) to join a Top 50+50 accountancy practice in the South-West. This hybrid role supports the firm wide digital transformation agenda, leading cloud accounting solutions and mentoring the Digital Services team.\n\nKey Duties:\n\nLead and deliver cloud accounting migrations to Xero and QuickBooks Online, including ledger transfers, opening balance reconciliations, bank feed setup, app integration's, and go-live support.\nRun discovery workshops to understand client needs, map current processes, and design future-state workflows.\nManage client onboarding journeys, improving turnaround times and creating a strong first impression.\nLine-manage Digital Services team members, allocating work, coaching best practice, and overseeing quality assurance.\nSet standards for documentation, workflows, checklists, and handovers to Accounts, Tax, Payroll, and Bookkeeping teams.\nChampion high standards of data hygiene across Practice Engine and Filestore.\nEmbed compliant onboarding processes, including CDD/AML through Summa Tech, and support annual review cycles.\nWork closely with Partners and Managers to scope proposals, build business cases, and present solutions to clients and internal stakeholders.\nTrack outcomes, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement across digital services.\n\nRequirements:\n\nMinimum 5 year's experience delivering cloud accounting solutions using Xero and QuickBooks Online.\nProven experience leading client-facing projects from discovery through to migration and post-go-live support.\nXero and/or QuickBooks Online certifications (Advanced preferred).\nPractical knowledge of ledger migrations, bank feeds, chart of accounts design, VAT setup, and app integrations.\nExperience line-managing, mentoring, and quality-checking team members.\nConfidence using systems such as Practice Engine, Filestore, Trello (or similar), and Summa Tech.\nKnowledge of KYC/AML workflows and professional services processes.\nFamiliarity with Digita and/or Sage tax suites.\nAdvanced Excel skills, including Power Query.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.\n\nWhat We Offer:\n\nUp to 36.25 hours per week, hybrid and flexible working available.\n25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.\nAnnual salary review.\nDeath in service 3 x annual salary.\nAccess to company rewards and health scheme.\n24-hour external Employee Assistance Programme.\nFlexible benefits including Buy and Sell holiday, Cycle to Work, Payroll Charity Giving, and Private Medical Insurance.\nIntroducing clients and team member commission schemes.\nPension 3% rising to 4% (matched up to 6% after 4 year's service).\nEnhanced maternity and paternity pay after one year's service.\n\nInterested?\n\nApply now to join this innovative and supportive accountancy practice leading cloud accounting solutions across the South-West.\n\nAcorn by Synergie acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment
