Junior Project Manager (Utility-Scale Solar/BESS) - London, UK Deliver industrial & utility‑scale Solar / BESS projects from contract signature to commercial handover. You’ll have real responsibility, progression & impact This opportunity is with a fast‑growing renewables developer delivering industrial and utility‑scale solar and battery storage projects across the UK and internationally. With a strong pipeline and several early‑stage schemes already moving, they’re looking for a Junior Project Manager who can help take ownership of delivery from day one, while being offered all the support you’ll need to make this a success. If you’ve delivered grid‑connected solar/BESS projects and want a role with trust, autonomy, and genuine progression, this is a strong next step. What you’ll be doing You’ll manage the full lifecycle of solar/BESS projects, commercially, technically, and operationally, from contract signature through to commercial handover: • Lead cross‑functional project teams (engineering, design, procurement, construction), • Assisting with project coordination, planning, and reporting, • Manage EPC deliverables across design, procurement, and construction, • Chair project meetings, issue minutes, track actions, and maintain project governance, • Manage project finances, including invoice approvals and budget tracking, • Oversee contractual obligations, programme management, and risk mitigation, • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, • Support continuous improvement across processes, templates, and best‑practice methods, • Contribute to a growing delivery team with opportunities to step into larger projects What you’ll need • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent experience, • Professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, PMI‑ACP) strongly preferred, • Around 6–12 months’ experience in a project environment (Solar PV & BESS ideal), • Exposure to grid‑connected solar projects during construction, • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, • Ability to work in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments, • A proactive, positive attitude, they’re open to taking a chance on the right character!
