Senior PLM Development Engineer Contract: Permanent WFH: Onsite Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 (DOE) Location: Burton-Upon-Trent We’re seeking a Senior PLM Development Engineer to lead the development, configuration, and enhancement of our client’s newly upgraded Teamcenter + Active Workspace environment. This is a technically hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll take ownership of delivering new PLM functionality, driving reporting and analytics capability, improving workflows, and stabilising a complex multi-server engineering system used globally. Following a major upgrade, the organisation is entering a transformative phase, working closely with Siemens, and needs an experienced PLM specialist who can hit the ground running, guide the team, and turn roadmap ideas into deliverable solutions. Responsibilities • Develop, configure, and enhance Teamcenter (AWC & RAC), including style sheets, templates, UI components, workflows, and data models (BMIDE)., • Enable new reporting & analytics features, replacing manual Excel-driven processes with automated dashboards and live PLM reporting., • Work on development servers, implementing, testing, and deploying new functionality., • Support post-upgrade stabilisation by investigating database and application issues and delivering long-term fixes., • Ensure engineering data is consumable for analytics, reporting, and enterprise processes., • Collaborate closely with Siemens, engineering leads, and PLM stakeholders to deliver roadmap functionality., • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers within the engineering systems team. Skills & Experience • 4+ years’ experience developing or supporting PLM systems, ideally Teamcenter across RAC and AWC., • Hands-on experience with BMIDE, workflows, style sheets, templates, and UI configuration., • Strong programming/scripting ability (Java, ITK, SOA, Perl, or similar)., • Experience enabling reporting/analytics within PLM environments (TcRA or equivalent)., • Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills across multi-server PLM architectures., • Ability to lead technical improvements, influence direction, and deliver production-ready solutions., • Experience collaborating with vendors (e.g., Siemens) and engineering leadership., • Eligible for UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
