Due to new academies joining the Trust, this new Regional IT Manager role has been created to cover academies in the Staffordshire area, becoming a key part of the central IT team. Your new role Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, you'll oversee the local IT team which consists of 9 schools and a team of 3 IT specialists, guide strategic planning, and ensure the infrastructure, systems and support services are robust, secure and fit for the future. You'll act as a key point of escalation for technical issues, support the development of IT strategy, and work closely with academy leaders to make sure technology aligns with educational and operational priorities. You'll also play a central role in delivering IT change programmes, managing on‑boarding for new academies, and driving improvements in service management, asset control, cyber security and procurement. This is a hands‑on leadership position suited to someone who combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication, relationship‑building and project management skills-someone who wants to help shape a high‑quality IT service that supports both staff and students. On a daily basis, you will be based across the academies in Staffordshire, therefore liaising with senior leadership teams and end users on a daily basis, with a strong emphasis being on strong communication. Please note, this role is on site 5 days a week, based in the academies across Staffordshire, with a monthly visit to the head office in Manchester. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess IT Management experience from the education sector, ideally working in a multi-site role, with this role being suited to an IT Manager or Network Manager from a school or Trust. You must have excellent communication and relationship building skills, as you will be liaising with key stakeholders on a daily basis and managing relationships. Experience working with Google would be beneficial, as well as a strong knowledge of systems and technologies in the education sector, with a passion for working in a rewarding environment and further developing your skills. Please note, as this role is on site 5 days a week, you must possess a valid UK driving licence and have your own vehicle. What you'll get in return In return, you will be paid a competitive salary of between £42,000 and £46,000 dependent on experience and will be joining this established team where you will be fully supported upon joining the trust.
