Job Title: Senior People Advisor Reporting to: People Manager Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday) Location: Chiswick, London (Hybrid Working – Wednesdays & Thursdays in-office) About the Company Encompass Digital Media (‘Encompass’) is a global managed services company focused on supporting TV networks, broadcasters, sports leagues and digital platforms with the delivery of their linear/nonlinear video and audio content across television, radio and digital platforms. We design, implement and operate reliable video and audio solutions that capture, process and deliver clients’ content from any source, in any format, to any destination in the most efficient and reliable way possible. About the Role The Senior People Advisor is a subject matter expert who is responsible for delivering efficient and high-quality HR support to managers in the UK. This role will be the pivotal point of contact for people related matters in the UK, working independently and overseeing the full employee experience from end to end. The Senior People Advisor will also work collaboratively with the wider APAC & EMEA People Team to support local / regional initiatives as well as global People Team projects. Key Responsibilities: People Operations: • Conduct regular meetings with managers to proactively identify issues and take ownership of resolutions., • Build and maintain strong relationships with managers, acting as a trusted partner., • Lead and advise on employee relations cases including performance, disciplinaries and absences providing managers with information, advice and administrative support to ensure best practice is followed and the desired outcome is achieved., • Lead on redundancy and re-structuring initiatives, ensuring a fair consultation process, accurate preparation of redundancy costs, and effective employee communications., • Provide advice and support on maternity, paternity, flexible working and all other employee welfare processes., • Prepare and issue all correspondence related to people processes, ensuring documentation and case notes are accurate and maintained., • Support on TUPE process and procedures including consultations, liaising with incoming/outgoing service providers and employee data due diligence., • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from business approval to candidate offers., • Partner with recruiting managers to agree recruitment approach for each vacancy., • Coach and support managers on the interview process and ensure accurate and timely feedback is provided to all candidates., • Liaise with recruitment agencies regarding candidates and agreeing terms of business., • Prepare all offers of employment and contractual amendments, ensuring a seamless candidate handover to the HR Specialist for onboarding and contract change processes., • Ensure all UK new starters have adequate RTW on or before day one, deliver first day HR Inductions, and ensure all arrangements are in place for a positive new employee experience., • Support and guide managers during the probation process, ensuring performance concerns are managed accordingly., • Support managers with team engagement report analysis, feedback and action planning to drive improvements., • Support ongoing updates and maintenance of the Employee Handbook., • Improve and maintain data collection and retention, ensuring accurate records exist and one source of truth is maintained on our HRIS., • Ensure all compliance requirements and regulatory expectations are met., • Provide day to day operational support to ensure the smooth running of the HR function, including preparing and submitting payroll changes to the payroll vendor., • Support HR projects and initiatives, as required., • Assist with various HR matters for the overseas radio site as needed. Education: • CIPD qualification desirable but not essential Required Skills & Experience: • Proven HR generalist experience working in a fast paced and rapidly changing business environment, • Knowledge of the broadcast industry and working in a shift-based environment is advantageous, • Previous experience of redundancy and restructuring is essential, • Solid understanding of UK legislation, • Confidence to coach managers through HR policies & procedures, • Excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills, • Good attention to detail, • Team orientated and results focused, • Strong organisation and communication skills – both written and verbal Benefits: • Competitive salary, • 25 days annual leave per annum (pro-rata) plus bank holidays, • Matched up to 5% pension contributions and independent pension advice, • Medical benefits including - Eye care vouchers, Health Cash Plan, Income Protection & Life Assurance, • Cycle to Work scheme, • Season ticket loan, • Wellness weeks, • Performance recognition awards and more!
