Diamond Search Recruitment is proud to be representing our client in the search for an experienced and driven Buying & Warehouse Manager\nThe Opportunity\nOur client is seeking a highly capable Buying & Warehouse Manager to lead purchasing, negotiation, stock control and warehousing operations. This is a key management role responsible for ensuring continuity of supply, cost efficiency and operational excellence across the business.\nThe successful candidate will play a critical role in sourcing goods and services, managing supplier relationships, overseeing stock control and warehouse functions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.\nKey Responsibilities\nPurchasing & Procurement\n * \n Source, negotiate and purchase goods, materials, components and services in line with cost, quality and delivery targets\n * \n Prepare and raise purchase orders and manage order schedules\n * \n Build, maintain and manage professional supplier relationships\n * \n Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures\n * \n Conduct research to identify new suppliers and components\n * \n Monitor supplier performance and compile evaluation data\n * \n Resolve supplier issues relating to price, quality, delivery or invoices\n * \n Negotiate rebate structures and drive cost reduction initiatives\n * \n Monitor market trends and competitor activity\n * \n Provide cost analysis and support cost-saving programmes\n * \n Identify risks and opportunities within the supply chain\nWarehouse & Stock Control\n * \n Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse\n * \n Maintain adequate stock levels to support operational continuity\n * \n Balance stock levels and purchasing activity to protect company cash flow\n * \n Manage Goods In, Despatch and warehouse operations\n * \n Lead and develop Buying and Warehouse teams\nOperational & Compliance\n * \n Liaise with Operations, Technical, Sales and Engineering teams to ensure business efficiency\n * \n Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental and quality standards\n * \n Support continuous improvement and business enhancement initiatives\n * \n Prepare reports and updates as required\nKnowledge & Experience\nRelevant experience in a senior or management role\nPrevious experience within a purchasing team, ... food manufacturing sector\nStrong understanding of purchasing processes, negotiation and commercial cost breakdown\nSound knowledge of documented policies and procedures\nUnderstanding of Quality Management systems\nWorking knowledge of Food Hygiene policies\nBasic knowledge of Health & Safety procedures\nStrong planning and organisational skills\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nSkills & Key Attributes\nExcellent negotiation and influencing skills\nStrong problem-solving ability\nResilient and results-driven\nAble to build productive working relationships at all levels\nEffective communicator with strong interpersonal skills\nStrong commercial awareness with a focus on cost reduction and value-add\nHighly organised with strong time management skills\nAdvanced Excel skills essential; working knowledge of SAP preferred\nQualifications\nCIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) qualification or similar – desirable\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute and operationally strong professional to join a well-established organisation and make a tangible impact.\nTo apply or for a confidential discussion, please contact Diamond Search Recruitment.\nDiamond Search Recruitment is acting as an employment agency regarding this vacancy
