Experienced Site Chemist based in Greater Manchester Title: Site Chemist Location: Greater Manchester Salary: £30,000-£35,000 Permanent Benefits: annual bonus, pension, healthcare cash plan, training and development SRG are working with a leading privately owned large waste management company who are now looking for 2 Site Chemists to join the team. This is a hands-on role within the waste industry, you will be analysing, checking and testing incoming loads, processing hazardous and non-hazardous waste, insuring segregation and storage of hazardous waste meets requirements, labelling waste and completing documents on all incoming and outgoing chemical materials.This role would suit experienced waste chemists with 2+ years of experience. Working Hours: 40 hour week – Monday to Friday, flexible start and finish times, 25 days holiday + bank holidays Role / Description • Asses, segregate and batch up waste, • Provide laboratory and analytical support for all site operations, • Analysing and test all incoming waste and outgoing waste streams, • Ensure all waste is correctly labelled and documented, • Contribute to site health and safety standards by using the correct PPE at all times, • Work closely with site operatives to ensure the safe and efficient processing, storage, and transfer of waste, • Co-operate with site management in improving the plants operational standards Requirements • Minimum HNC in Chemistry, • Willing to work outside in all weathers, • Good work ethic, hands-on approach and a willingness to learn, • Full right to work in the UK – There is no sponsorship available for this role SRG is the UK’s number one recruitment company specialising in the scientific, engineering, clinical, pharmaceutical, food/FMCG, energy & renewables, biotech, chemical and medical device sectors.
