Team Leader Childrens Residential Home Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunity Location: Hatfield, AL10 Salary: £14 - £15 per hour (Depending on experience) Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Important: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and a full clean driving licence About the Role: We are recruiting an experienced Team Leader to work in a Residential Childrens Home. You will support management in the day-to-day running of the home, provide care and guidance to young people, and supervise and mentor residential care staff. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and support shifts, rota planning, and daily operations of the home., • Supervise and mentor care staff, providing guidance and feedback., • Build positive relationships with young people, acting as a role model and supporting their physical, emotional, and educational needs., • Ensure care plans, risk assessments, and other relevant paperwork are completed and up to date., • Deputise for management when required, including out-of-hours on-call duties., • Act as a key worker for young people, supporting them 1:1, encouraging independence, and promoting community involvement., • Attend and contribute to meetings, reviews, and professional discussions. xrnqpay, • Uphold safeguarding, equality, and health and safety standards.Essential Requirements:, • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent NVQ/Diploma), • Full clean driving licence, • Experience working in residential care and with children and young people, • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain professional boundaries, • Awareness of safeguarding issues and child welfare practices, • Emotional resilience when working with challenging behaviour, • Basic household and cooking skillsDesirable:, • Experience in juvenile justice settings, • Knowledge of OFSTED standards and childcare legislation, • Understanding of managing challenging behaviourBenefits:, • Opportunity to make a real difference in young peoples lives, • Supportive team environment
