Maintenance & Approved Electrician Permanent | Full-Time Guildford Area (Multi-Site) Optima is recruiting on behalf of a well-established, award-winning electrical services provider operating across electrical & mechanical services, energy efficiency, sustainability, facilities management, and life safety systems. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking Maintenance and Approved Electricians on a permanent, full-time basis to work predominantly across three long-term maintenance sites in the Guildford area. The Role This is a varied position covering both planned and reactive electrical maintenance within a defined local patch. You’ll be responsible for supporting multiple sites, with all works managed via a mobile app and full backing from an experienced team of Project Managers and central support staff. Key Responsibilities • Maintain and repair electrical systems in line with current IET Wiring Regulations, • Support both minor and major electrical maintenance works, • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety standards, • Carry out risk assessments and follow safe systems of work, • Liaise professionally with on-site facilities teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, • Accurately complete job documentation using mobile and paper-based systems Skills & Experience Required • City & Guilds 2330 Level 2 & 3 (or equivalent), • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, • ECS Gold Card, • Full UK Driving Licence, • Clean DBS record, • Good IT and mobile device competency, • Inspection & Testing (C&G 2391 or 2395) desirable but not essential The Ideal Candidate • Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive approach, • Confident communicator with a professional manner, • Comfortable using mobile technology and digital systems, • Experience working within commercial and/or educational environments (desirable), • Quality-focused with a strong understanding of compliance and best practice What’s on Offer • Salary: £35,000 – £46,000 per annum (dependent on experience), • Holiday: 28–33 days (inclusive of Bank Holidays), • Overtime: Excellent overtime opportunities available, • Company vehicle & fuel card, • Mobile phone, • PPE and uniform provided, • Pension scheme, • Death in service cover, • Ongoing training and development opportunities, • Long-term stability with a forward-thinking and growing employer
