Site Surveyor / Survey Consultant \n Location: UK Wide Travel Required Salary: Up to £40,000 (depending on experience) Type: Full-Time, Permanent \n The Opportunity \n We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Surveyor / Survey Consultant to join a professional consultancy delivering nationwide site surveys for ANPR and CCTV installations. \n This is a varied role combining site-based surveying and office-based consultancy work. Approximately 50% of your time will be spent visiting client sites, with the remaining 50% focused on report writing, survey analysis, project documentation, and client liaison. \n Typical projects involve surveying commercial environments such as supermarkets, hotels, and retail sites to identify suitable camera locations, power supplies, distribution boards, and cable routing requirements. These are non-intrusive surveys, requiring strong observational skills and the ability to assess construction and infrastructure requirements accurately. \n This role would suit someone with a background in construction, electrical installations, CCTV, ANPR systems, or related surveying disciplines. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Conduct site surveys at commercial premises across the UK.\n, • Identify suitable locations for ANPR and CCTV equipment installations.\n, • Assess distribution boards, power sources, and cable routes.\n, • Capture photographic evidence and site information to support project delivery.\n, • Produce detailed survey reports and technical documentation.\n, • Review site layouts and identify potential infrastructure requirements, including ducting and cable routes.\n, • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure survey requirements are met.\n, • Manage workloads effectively while meeting project deadlines.\n, • Support multiple projects simultaneously within a professional consultancy environment.\n\n Skills & Experience Required \n\n • Previous experience in a surveying, construction, CCTV, ANPR, or electrical-related role.\n, • Good understanding of construction methods and building infrastructure.\n, • Experience identifying cable routes, power supplies, or electrical installations is highly advantageous.\n, • Strong technical report-writing skills.\n, • Experience working within a professional office environment.\n, • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n, • Strong organisational and time management abilities.\n, • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.\n, • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.\n\n Qualifications \n\n • Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in a construction-related discipline.\n, • CSCS Card (Black, Gold, White, or qualifications allowing you to obtain one).\n, • Full UK Driving Licence.\n, • Own vehicle and willingness to travel throughout the UK.\n\n Desirable Experience \n\n • ANPR survey experience.\n, • CCTV installation or surveying experience.\n, • Electrical installation or cable routing knowledge.\n, • Construction project management experience.\n, • Previous experience working on commercial or retail sites.\n, • Graduate-level construction project management background with practical site exposure.\n\n What We're Looking For \n We're looking for an individual who can confidently assess sites, produce high-quality reports, and engage professionally with clients.
