Client Director - Transformation Consulting (Manchester) £90,000–£130,000 base + significant bonus + uncapped commission We're working with a fast-growing Consulting business that’s building out its Manchester hub and looking for a senior Client Director to lead commercial growth in the North. This is a proper build role. The Manchester office is being scaled from the ground up, with backing from an established London business delivering large-scale transformation programmes across AI, data, digital and operating model change. They compete directly with the Big Four and major consulting firms, and are winning work based on pace, senior relationships and delivery-led outcomes. This is a strong fit for someone currently in a large consultancy, or a senior commercial role across consulting, staffing or enterprise SaaS who wants more ownership and faster progression. The Role You’ll be responsible for building the commercial engine in the North. That means; • Winning new enterprise clients across the region, • Growing and owning strategic “diamond” accounts, • Building senior C-suite relationships across large organisations, • Leading conversations around transformation programmes and consulting-led solutions, • Driving multi-year, high-value engagements (not transactional work), • Helping shape the go-to-market approach for the Manchester hub This is very much a “get out in the market and build it” role - meetings, dinners, networking, client engagement, and senior-level relationship building. You’ll be trusted to operate with autonomy and expected to create momentum quickly. What They’re Looking For • Strong track record of winning and growing enterprise accounts, • Experience in Consulting, Big 4, Staffing, Professional Services or Enterprise SaaS, • Comfortable operating with C-level and senior decision-makers, • Proven ability to open doors and convert complex deals, • Relationship-led, consultative approach (not transactional sales), • Commercially sharp, self-sufficient, and highly driven, • Strong presence in market, visible, networked, proactive This suits people who know how to build trust in complex organisations and turn that into long-term revenue. Package • £90,000–£130,000 base salary, • Significant bonus structure, • Uncapped commission with strong accelerators, • Equity potential for the right person, • Rapid progression as the Manchester hub scales Top performers will move quickly into broader leadership roles as the region grows. You’re not inheriting a polished sales machine, you’re helping create the Manchester commercial engine for a business already proving itself at enterprise level. It’s a chance to step out of a structured Big 4 / large consultancy environment and into something more entrepreneurial, where impact is visible and progression is fast. If you’re strong commercially and want more ownership, this is worth a look.
