The Role This is a hands-on supervisory role where you’ll be at the heart of the factory, working closely with the Production Manager to keep operations running smoothly, efficiently, and to a high standard. You’ll be leading from the front — supporting the team, driving productivity, and ensuring quality is never compromised. • Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm, • Contract: Self-employed for the first 3 months, with a clear pathway to a permanent position What You’ll Be Doing • Liaise with the Production Manager to ensure jobs are completed and dispatched on time, • Keep production running efficiently and ensure deadlines are consistently met, • Carry out quality checks to maintain high standards and compliance, • Support operatives on a day-to-day basis, providing guidance and problem-solving support, • Lead, motivate, and develop the factory team, • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment, • Conduct 1-2-1s with operatives to support performance and progression What We’re Looking For • Previous supervisory experience within a joinery or furniture manufacturing environment, • Hands-on experience operating machinery (CNC experience advantageous), • Confidence using or learning computer-controlled machinery, • A proactive attitude, • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, • Willingness to learn, develop, and grow within the business, • A reliable, professional approach to work What You’ll Get in Return • Company uniform provided, • On site parking, • Death in Service benefit, • Cycle to Work scheme, • 20 days annual leave + your birthday off, • Extra 1-day annual leave per year of service (up to 25 days), • Long-term, stable workload within a growing business, • Opportunity to step into a key leadership role, • Ongoing training and development, • Clear progression opportunities as the company continues to grow Why Join LFS?
