What you will be doing • Deliver high-quality, inclusive PE lessons tailored to a range of SEND and SEMH needs., • Support the PE Lead with the planning, organisation and development of PE provision., • Adapt activities to promote participation, confidence, resilience and achievement., • Organise PE resources, equipment, venue bookings and activity schedules., • Transport students safely to and from off-site sports facilities and activities., • Contribute to risk assessments and ensure safe practice during PE and enrichment activities., • Support extra-curricular clubs, sports events, enrichment programmes and structured physical activities., • Monitor student progress and contribute to reviews, reports and EHCP outcomes., • Build positive relationships and use trauma-informed approaches to support engagement and behaviour., • Work collaboratively with teaching, pastoral and therapy teams to maximise student success. About the Role As a Motor Vehicle & HGV Lecturer, you'll deliver engaging, practical teaching that helps learners build the technical skills and underpinning knowledge they need to progress into the automotive and transport industries. You'll plan and prepare lessons that combine hands-on workshop practice with classroom theory, creating a learning environment where students can develop both competence and confidence. Working with a further education provider in the North West, you'll assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback and adapt your teaching to suit learners at different levels and stages of their training. If you come from industry rather than a teaching background, that's welcome here. You'll be supported to develop your classroom practice through mentoring and ongoing professional development, with a start date of September 2026. Your responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering practical and theory-based lessons in motor vehicle and HGV maintenance and repair. Demonstrating industry-standard techniques and safe working practices in a workshop setting. Assessing learner work and providing feedback that supports progression. Preparing learners for practical assessments and industry-recognised qualifications. Maintaining accurate records of learner attendance, progress and achievement.
