Neighbourhood Officer / Coordinator (Temporary – 2 Months, Possible Extension)Location: Greater Manchester Contract: Temporary (2 months, potential extension) Hours: 36 hours per week Pay: £19.34 per hour Benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro-rata) 8 bank holidays\n\nAbout the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and community-focused Neighbourhood Officer to manage a designated geographical area and deliver high-quality housing and tenancy services. Acting as the face of the organisation, you will support residents, maintain safe neighbourhoods, and ensure tenancies are well-managed.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, confidence in community engagement, and experience in housing, ASB, or neighbourhood management.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nCarry out estate inspections, identify issues, and ensure neighbourhood standards are maintained.\n\nManage anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases, working closely with residents, partner agencies, and enforcement teams.\n\nSupport tenants with rent arrears, tenancy sustainment, and early intervention.\n\nProvide guidance and support to vulnerable residents, ensuring safeguarding concerns are escalated appropriately.\n\nBuild strong relationships with local partners including police, local authorities, and community groups.\n\nCoordinate community engagement activities, local events, and resident involvement initiatives.\n\nMaintain accurate records, case notes, and reports in line with organisational policies.\n\nRespond to tenancy queries, complaints, and neighbourhood issues promptly and professionally.\n\nAbout YouWe’d love to hear from you if you have:\n\nExperience in housing management, neighbourhood services, ASB, or community safety.\n\nStrong communication and problem-solving skills.\n\nConfidence working independently across a patch-based role.\n\nA proactive, community?minded approach with the ability to build trust with residents.\n\nKnowledge of safeguarding, tenancy law, or ASB legislation (desirable but not essential).\n\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive hourly rate of £19.34\n\n36?hour working week\n\n20 days annual leave (pro-rata) 8 bank holidays\n\nOpportunity for extension beyond the initial 2?month contract\n\nA meaningful role supporting safer, stronger communities\n\nHow to Apply
