Sales and Marketing Executive Location: Exeter / Hybrid Salary: £27,000 – £32,000 DOE About the Organisation We’re working with a growing business operating within the creative products and commercial décor space. Supplying both consumer and trade customers, they’re known for quality, reliability and a refreshingly down-to-earth approach to service. With demand increasing across multiple channels, the organisation is now looking to bring in a hands-on Sales and Marketing Executive to elevate their marketing activity and support the continued development of their trade customer base. The Role This is a varied, hands-on position that blends digital marketing, content creation, soft-sales activity and trade account support. You’ll take ownership of day-to-day marketing delivery - creating content, managing campaigns and optimising performance through analytics. Alongside this, you’ll support commercial growth by nurturing existing trade accounts, re-engaging lapsed clients and identifying new opportunities. You’ll be comfortable producing high-quality content, managing multi-channel outreach activity and communicating professionally with customers across both B2B and B2C audiences. Key Responsibilities Social Media & Content Creation • Create and schedule engaging posts across Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn, • Respond to comments and messages to build engagement, • Produce video content, reels and creative visuals, • Capture product photography for social and e-commerce use Content Writing & SEO Support • Write blog articles, product features and customer stories, • Support product description creation and keep listings accurate, • Assist with keyword research and on-page SEO improvements Email Marketing • Create newsletters, promotional emails and segmented campaigns, • Review performance metrics such as open and click-through rates Website & Digital Advertising • Support product listing updates and category optimisation, • Create Google Ads and paid social campaigns, • Monitor analytics through Google Analytics and platform insights Trade Customer Support (Soft Sales Duties) • Maintain CRM records and manage customer follow-ups, • Support seasonal outreach activity, • Re-engage lapsed customers with updates and promotions Lead Nurturing & Light Prospecting • Identify potential new trade clients across key sectors, • Deliver personalised multi-channel introductory outreach, • Share trade account information and encourage further engagement What We’re Looking For • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in marketing or e-commerce, • Strong content creation skills (writing, social media, photography), • Confident appearing on camera when needed, • Understanding of SEO principles and website content updates, • Experience with scheduling tools and analytics dashboards, • Excellent communication skills for supporting trade customers, • Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks, • Creative, curious and able to spot trends, • Self-motivated, proactive and confident working independently, • Commercially minded with an interest in product trends, • Knowledge of tools including Google Analytics, Omnisend, Canva/Photoshop, Ahrefs and WordPress/CMS (advantageous) Why You’ll Love This Role You’ll enjoy a genuinely varied role that blends creativity, marketing and customer interaction, with real ownership over day-to-day activity and the opportunity to shape the brand across multiple channels, all while working within a friendly, supportive team in a fast-moving, growing business where your ideas make a visible impact and no two days feel the same.
