Strategic Business Development Manager (New Markets & New Business) Location: UK (Flexible) Package: £55,000 - £70,000 + Bonus, Company Car and other benefits Elevation Recruitment are excited to to be the retainer partner to Oilgear in their hunt for a strategic, commercially sharp Business Development Manager whose primary mission is simple: win new business and open new markets. This is not an account management or “farm the existing customers” role. It is a hunting role focused on: • Identifying new sectors, new customers, and new opportunities, • Opening doors that aren’t currently open, • Turning cold prospects into long-term strategic clients, • Building a strong, sustainable pipeline of high-value opportunities You’ll work closely with senior leadership and technical teams to shape go-to-market strategy, target priority industries, and position their capabilities in new markets. What We’re Looking For • Proven track record in new business sales / business development (ideally in engineering, industrial, fluid power or adjacent), • A hunter mindset – you enjoy opening doors, creating opportunities, and winning new logos, • Comfortable selling high-value, technical or consultative solutions, • Strong strategic thinking: you can spot market opportunities, not just respond to enquiries, • Confident, credible, and able to operate at senior decision-maker level, • Self-motivated, driven, and highly accountable for results, • Excellent communication, negotiation, and commercial skills
